Italy, full of potential
Solar energy is growing in Italy. In order to reach the European targets set for 2030, at least 60-65 GW of new power from renewable energies will have to be installed in Italy, with an investment requirement of between EUR 40 and 50 billion by 2030. An installation rate of about 5.6 GW/year is expected for photovoltaics.
This enormous market potential goes hand in hand with steadily decreasing costs and improved efficiency of photovoltaic systems. Add to this the potential offered by batteries or heat pump systems to increase the efficiency of energy production, and it is clear that a bright solar future lies ahead.
